Here is the course we offer for INITIAL:

The classroom part will be in my office in Pleasant Hill or we can come to you but a travel expense may be required.  We will use a local range for the live fire requirement. The cost is $420.00. You supply the appropriate firearm(s), ammo, holster, ear and eye protection. Ammunition must be factory fresh, either FMJ or JHP, and no reloads. 9MM 115 Grain is recommended due to lower recoil and better control. No single-action pistols, such as 1911 style, are allowed by Contra Costa County. For concealed carry Glock 26 or Glock 19 are recommended. If you join the Glock Sport Shooting Foundation they will send you a "Pistol Coupon" each year that allows you to buy a Gen3 Glock at a very reduced price from LCAction in San Jose!

8-Hour RENEWALS are $220.00.

Here’s the process for the Contra Costa County Sheriff: (Contact other Agencies as applicable for their specific requirements!)  https://www.cocosheriff.org/how-do-i/apply-for-a-ccw-permit

Recommendation;

It is always better not to mix operating systems on CCW firearms. If you like Glocks, stick with Glocks. If you like Sigs, stick with Sigs. Try to put two firearms on the CCW permit so you always have a backup.

Carry what you train with!
